CUHK Convocation Outstanding Services and Creativity Student Awards 2017/18

The award carries a monetary value of HK$10,000 each.

- There are 2 types of Service Awards: Outstanding Community Services Award and Outstanding Campus Services Award.


- For Outstanding Community Services Award, student should:

- be full-time Year 2 or above undergraduate students of any disciplines

- have records of active and enthusiastic participation and promotion of community services

- have outstanding contribution to the community

- have demonstrated outstanding leadership and organizational abilities

- submit a personal statement in English of not more than 500 words which elaborates the services and contributions


- For Outstanding Campus Services Award, student should:

- be full-time Year 2 or above undergraduate students of any disciplines

- have records of active and enthusiastic participation and promotion of campus-wide, college based, or departmental extra-curricular or academic activities

- have outstanding contributions to the university, college or department

- have demonstrated outstanding leadership and organizational abilities

- submit a personal statement in English of not more than 500 words which elaborates the services and contributions


The awardees must be a full-time undergraduate student during the tenure of the award (i.e. for the whole academic year of award).  Students who will graduate after Term 1 studies are NOT eligible.


Supporting documents

- A completed application form


- Letter of recommendation addressed to the donor (CUHK Convocation (Attn: Mr. Michael Chan) on appropriate letterhead paper

- Academic transcript from undergraduate Year 1 to the first term of 2017/18 (Downloaded copy is acceptable, provided that it has been certified as a true copy by the Faculty / College with stamp.)


- A copy of academic transcripts with Explanation Notes of Grading System on an Exchange Programme (if applicable).  Any downloaded transcripts are not acceptable.

- A personal statement in English of not more than 500 words which elaborates the services and contributions (For Outstanding Community Services and Outstanding Campus Services Awards)

- Copies of supporting documents for awards received

- Copies of supporting documents for participation in extra-curricular activities, campus and community services


Eligible students are welcome to apply for the scholarships and send your application together with a set of the required supporting documents directly to the College Office by 30 January 2018.  Late application will be denied.
