Ti Hua KOO and Dorothy VEE KOO Admission Scholarships

Dr. and Mrs. Ti Hua KOO generously donated HK$30 million for awarding admission scholarships to outstanding international and local students affiliated to Lee Woo Sing College respectively.  Regulations governing the award of the scholarship are detailed below.

Number and Value 1 award of full scholarship (Covering the annual tuition of HK$120,000 and an annual allowance of HK$45,000).  The award is renewable.1 award of full scholarship (Covering the annual tuition HK$42,100) and 7 awards of half scholarship (Covering half of the annual tuition, i.e. HK$21,050)  All these awards are non-renewable.
Selection Criteria

Full Scholarship

- Be full-time non-local students admitted to any full-time undergraduate programme of CUHK.

- Priority will be given to students from Germany. Should there be no suitable students from Germany, non-local students from all Asian countries including mainland China will be considered.

- Possess outstanding academic results at entrance.

- Choose Lee Woo Sing College to be the first choice in College affiliation.

- This scholarship is tenable for a maximum period of 4 years subject to the condition that the scholarship recipient has to attain a Year GPA of at least 3.0 in the preceding academic year. Should the scholarship recipient fail to fulfill the Year GPA requirement, he/she will be put on a period of probation but will continue to be awarded the scholarship.  However, if he/she fails to meet the Year GPA requirement for two consecutive years, the scholarship will be discontinued.

For both Full Scholarship and Half Scholarship

- Be full-time local students admitted to any full-time undergraduate programme of CUHK.

- Possess outstanding academic results at entrance.

- Choose Lee Woo Sing College to be the first choice in College affiliation.
