Dr. Anita Leung Fung Yee

Dr. Anita Leung Fung Yee (Hong Kong, 1949 - ), B.A., 1970; M.A., 1972; Ph.D., 1985; Honorary Fellow, 2014 (CUHK) has bravely entered the financial sector in early 80s and became senior administrator in Sun Hung Kai Securities Limited and Hong Kong Stock Exchange.

In 1986, she created a brand new Hong Kong novel style, the ‘finance-themed series’ and published over 100 novels and essays within 10 years.Her novels were the bestselling books at the National Capital Book Fair from 1994-96, and most of them were adapted for movies and television drama series in mainland China (including CCTV), Hong Kong and Taiwan. In 2004, Qin Jia Yuan Media Services Company Limited, founded by Dr. Leung, was the first Hong Kong owned media business company in China to be listed on the Main Board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.

Dr. Leung has served several terms as a member of the Beijing Municipal Committee and National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference. She remarked, “Qin Jia Yuan” (Diligence and Opportunity), is her secret to success. She is an earnest devotee of public welfare and a staunch supporter of her alma mater.Qin Jia Yuan Foundation Limited, co-organized by Dr. Leung and Dr. Leung’s husband, Dr. Hon Philip Wong Yu-hong, has donated a lot in promoting public welfares in Hong Kong and China.

Dr. Philip Wong Yu Hong, GBS, B.S., M.S. (University of California, USA), JD, Eng.D., is the eldest son of Mr. Wong Ker Lee, a noble family of Fujian. Dr. Wong was a senior engineer in USA.He returned to Hong Kong in the 70s to take charge of his family business and became Director of Winco Group with business in industry, finance and real estates.

Dr. Wong is active in politics and public services for several decades.He had been a Deputy of National People's Congress for 10 years; Legislative Council member and chairman of several LEGCO committees for over 20 years. He is also Life Honorary Chairman of The Chinese General Chamber of Commerce; Honorary Chairman of The Chinese Manufacturers' Association of Hong Kong, Hong Kong Publishing Federation, Hong Kong Publishing Printing and Record Industry Association; and a board member of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council.

Dr. Wong received the Courvoisier Awards for Business Excellency and enrolled into “World Who’s Who” for his excellent advanced computer system for The Hong Kong Stock Exchange in 1986. He received the Gold Bauhinia Star Award from the HKSAR Government in 2003.

Wong's family is warmhearted in promoting education not only in China but also in US. The Wong’s family contributed to the building of Ker Lee WONG Convention Centre of Lama Linda University in California, US and Ker Lee WONG Convention Centre of Amoy University in Fujian, China.
