Chinese Ballad and Guangxi Folk

Ms Su Yanling

Ms. Su is not only a well renowned singer in Guangxi, but she is also a national-level actress as well. Graduated from China Conservatory, she has been awarded various state prizes, like “Gold Award of Chinese Ballad Competition”, “National Top Ten Singer Gold Award” given by State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television of The People’s Republic of China, etc. On the other hand, Ms. Su has hosted many different kinds of province-level TV programmes. Some of the programmes have been awarded prizes in province-wide level and in state-wide level. The students who were nurtured by Ms. Su are playing very important roles in the entertainment industry.



Guangxi Folk Songs:

Guangxi Folk Song is indigenous song of Zhuang ethnic group of Guangxi. It reflects the modes of life of each ethnic group. Since such kind of songs is popular among the ethnic groups with much Guangxi characteristics, Guangxi folk music is “Intangible Cultural Heritage” of Chinese culture.

Highlights: Pure vocal music without music accompaniment. It is “Intangible Cultural Heritage” of Chinese culture.
