#14 Welcome back to WS

Welcome back! And happy 2019!

I hope you had a refreshing break as you return to campus for Term 2. If not, there is the Lunar New Year Vacation coming very soon in early February! J

Holiday seasons are usually filled with festivities, celebrations, good food, and time spent with families and friends. But let us not forget that there are also people who will work through the holidays: Emergency workers, restaurant and service industries, etc. In my work as a counselling psychologist, I think most about my clients with impending holidays, as it can be an especially challenging time for people with conflictual family relationships or who recently lost loved ones.

As we strive to build a positive and caring college environment in WS, I hope we can extend our care to our friends and also those whom we know less well. A smile or simple chat may brighten their day! The DoS/ADoS would love to get to know more of you this year!

Wishing you a fruitful second semester.
