#1 Together

Dear Lee Woo Singer,

Welcome (back) to Lee Woo Sing College. To the ~300 students who are new to CUHK and Lee Woo Sing, welcome to a new chapter of your life and education. To the ~900 returning students, welcome back! Under the best of circumstances, change can be stressful and difficult. Under the current climate when we are bombarded by images and video of confrontation, and might have even experienced first-hand the disagreements that is dividing our City, change can seem over-whelming.

But today, as a new school year begins, we have one thing in common. We are all part of the Lee Woo Sing family. No matter how confusing or difficult the world outside becomes, we are a safe place where ideas can be exchanged, lessons are learned, and we grow together. As a college, there isn’t much that we can do to “fix” the conflicts in society, but one thing we can do is ensure that you do not face the world alone. As a small part of that, the College office is always open during office hours to answer your questions and address your needs. In addition, the Wardens and Deans of Students will have regular office hours where you can come find us for a chat.

This term, the Associate Deans of Students and I will have Dean of Students Hour in G08 of South Block every Tuesday (except Holidays) from 5-6 pm. Stop by if you would like to grab a coffee, if you have any questions or would like assistance, or just want to chat about anything. If that time-slot does not work for your schedule, please feel free to schedule an alternate time with Zinnia or e-mail us directly.

Let us have a productive and fulfilling year together!
