Room Assignment Results (2018/19)

Students assigned with a room shall complete an online check-in form ( before their designated move-in time. It will save your time for waiting on site on the move-in day. You can use the “Express Check-in” lanes, spending less than 1 minute to complete the procedures. Students who did not complete online check-in form in prior can use the normal move-in lanes. It takes approximately 10 minutes for completion of procedures.

Please observe the assigned timeslot for move-in. Students moving in during the assigned timeslot will be served first. During the move-in dates, no parking or waiting of vehicle are allowed. Vehicle dropped off should be done in a quick manner to avoid congestion. Students are advised not to bring all stuffs for living on the move-in days.

Remember to bring your WSAccess+ card for move-in procedures. For freshmen - if you have taken a photo for card production but not yet collect your card, you may get it at the Information Counter during move-in. In case you have not done so, we will produce the card for you on the same day. However, you may have to wait for another 45-60 minutes. For returning students – if your card has broken or QR code/photo printed on card surface cannot be seen clearly, we will print a new one for you. It may delay your move-in for 15 minutes.

•The hostel fees per head for 2018/19 residential year are: double rooms– $12,636 per residential year, triple rooms - $9,476 per residential year, quadruple rooms - $7,898 per residential year, and three-persons-two-beds scheme - $9,476 per residential year. Those fees are to be paid in two installments which will due on 28 September 2018 and by the end of January 2019.  Failure to pay the required fees will lead to disqualification of hostel residency. Each resident is required to pay HKD1,000 as hostel deposit.

•Successful applicants who would like to withdraw from hostel residency before move-in shall write to the College Office before 1 September 2019; Students who would like to withdraw from hostel residence during term time are required to submit their applications to the Wardens in written form one month in advance of the planned last date of stay. Please refer to the “Notice of Hostel Application and Withdrawal” for details. Penalties apply for cases of short notice.
•The hostel places vacated by students who withdrew from their hostel places will be assigned by the Hostel and College Facilities Management Committee to other applicants on the waiting list during term time.

Swapping of rooms
•Allocated hostel places are not transferable and not exchangeable.  Students applying for swapping of room will be only considered if valid reasons are provided, and if all the members involved in the rooms agree and sign on the form “Application for Swapping of Room”.  Students should submit the form to Wardens’ Office after term commencement.  They could only swap their rooms after receiving the written confirmation from the Office. 
•Lee Woo Sing College Hostel and College Facilities Management Committee reserves the final right of allotting the hostel places.
